Looking Forward is published periodically to keep active members informed about their retirement system.

Audio Versions

To accommodate our visually impaired employers, members, and retirees, PERS has partnered with the National Federation of the Blind (NFB) of Mississippi to provide audio versions of the current Employer Update newsletter, Looking Forward member newsletter, and Forward retiree newsletter. The audio newsletter service is available to qualified participants in Mississippi who register for services with the Library for the Blind and Physically Handicapped at 601-432-4111 or 800-446-0892. There also is an online application at For more information on NFB of Mississippi, visit

What to Do if You Are Not Receiving Your Newsletter

Looking Forward is mailed to the address on each member's account. If you have an account with PERS and are not receiving newsletters, please notify PERS. You may need to file a Form 1C, Change of Information, through your employer to update your address.
